About our Impact Series

This AR integrated programme utilises the power of gaming, engineering design and project-based learning to catalyse STEAM education and encourage our next generation of leaders, creators and innovators. With real modern technology, students explore the digital world of building and design and integrate hands-on prototyping and testing in their classroom.

The Impact Series is made up of three age-appropriate programmes to meet the needs of your students and continue to excite and challenge them on their learning journey.

NEWTON AR

Grades 1-3
Newton-AR is an augmented reality (AR) contraption design game for teaching STEAM concepts at home or in the classroom. This is catered for our local students still learning the basics, since it can be challenging to teach them complex topics. Therefore, the projects that students can physically manipulate are powerful tools for learning at this level. Students design solutions to Rube Goldberg-style challenges which are each aligned to the Department of Education’s new initiatives.

DESCARTES

Grades 3-6
Descartes is an engineering design game that can be used in your web browser. It has bite-sized missions and curricular activities that align with numerous math and science standards. It also has many engaging projects for students to learn new concepts, design, work in teams, analyse using math and science, and then prototype-test their unique designs in the real world.

EDISON

Grades 6-9
Edison represents a more sophisticated tool for creating unique designs and analysing them through data and plots. The platform permits different types of projects including bridges, cars, aircraft, rockets, and circuits to name a few. With its fun in-game challenges, team collaboration, and hands-on activities, Edison is sure to be a hit with your students!
